 smic stratigraphy to exploration and field development is a natural conseq
 uence of the advent of high-quality and increasingly more affordable and w
 idespread 3D seismic data currently available. Integrating analyses of pla
 n view (geomorphologic) and section view (stratigraphic) images can signif
 icantly enhance predictions of the spatial and temporal distribution of su
 bsurface lithology (reservoir, source, and seal), compartmentalization, an
 d stratigraphic trapping capabilities, as well as enhanced understanding o
 f process sedimentology and sequence stratigraphy.\nThis course is designe
 d to enhance interpretation skill sets with regard to geologic interpretat
 ion of seismic data. The overall objective is to present methods for reduc
 ing risk with regard to prediction of lithology, reservoir compartmentaliz
 ation, and stratigraphic trapping potential in exploration and production.
  Specifically, the participant will be shown:\n\nworkflows designed to fac
 ilitate extraction of stratigraphic insights from 3D seismic data\ntechniq
 ues for 3D seismic geomorphologic/stratigraphic analyses\nnumerous seismic
  examples of various depositional systems in various depositional settings
 \n\nParticipants in the course will be exposed to seismic geomorphologic/s
 tratigraphic workflows, which involve 1) initial reconnaissance through 3D
  volumes with various slicing techniques using a variety of different seis
 mic attribute volumes, and 2) subsequently focus on features of geologic i
 nterest and further investigate through a combination of detailed interrog
